"So, What’s the Big Deal about the Photo?"
Dear friend,
When I meet people in town, they usually say, "Oh, yeah, I know you, you’re Dr. Mark, I’ve seen your ad with that picture of you and the little boys." Well, perhaps I should tell you a little more about that photo, and what’s the "big deal" about it.
Let’s start with me, 20 years ago something happened to me that changed my life forever. Let me tell you my story
I was a specialist in the Army National Guard and was at Brim Frost in Alaska. The vehicle that I was traveling in got into an accident causing it to go off of the road. My primary concern at the time was getting the vehicle out of the ditch that it was in and back on the road. We had been briefed on the extreme cold and what exposure could do to us. During the effort that I had made to get the vehicle back on the road I caused a disc to bulge in my lower back. I was panicked thinking that we would freeze. The pain in the lower back was bad enough but the pain that it caused in my leg was unbearable. The pain was so intense that it prevented me from walking. I was afraid that my leg would never feel normal again. I was prescribed medication and it didn’t touch the pain, let alone it failed to make my leg function any better. I was really scared. After considering surgery (that was the only option according to the surgeon) I decided to first try the chiropractor that my friend had been suggesting that I go see. The chiropractor did an examination, took a couple of X-rays, and then made some adjustments to my spine. The adjustments didn’t hurt but rather actually felt good and after a short time I started to feel better. I got relief from both the back and the leg pain. This was such a dramatic change that I later decided to become a chiropractor myself. But tell me, what if I just took the medicine or had the surgery? You see I wasn’t content with what traditional medicine had to offer me.
Now for Hunter, he is the boy in the picture with me on the left and we are best buds. When he was two years old he had ear infections so often that the doctors in Kansas City had him taking medication with limited results. They had planned to put tubes in his ears. Thankfully he and his mother moved to Little Rock before the tubes were placed. I began treating his ears and the infections promptly left and have never returned.
The boy on the right is Hudson, he is a good friend of Hunter's and he lives across the street. From time to time suffers from headaches and knows that an adjustment will make his headache go away.
It’s strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their car accident related problems. Also they come to me with their headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, athletic injuries, just to name a few.
Here’s what some of my patients had to say:
"He truly cares about his patients’ well being. I truly wish that the rest of my physicians in my life were as caring and professional as Dr. Varley."– Randi Bryant
"The entire office is wonderful and caring." - Candy Chapko
You should know that I don’t heal any one of anything. What I do is perform a specific spinal adjustment to remove nerve pressure, and the body responds by healing itself. We get tremendous results. It’s as simple as that!
Many people no longer have health insurance, and those who do have found that their benefits are reduced. That’s where my I come in. I have a significantly lower exam fee so that more people are able to afford the care they need. A whole week of care in my office costs what you could pay for one visit elsewhere. Another way to save…published, peer-reviewed research indicates that the immune system may be enhanced by chiropractic adjustments. The immune system is the system that helps the body fight colds, the flu, and many other sick-nesses. Although all people respond differently to care, maybe you won’t be running off to the doctor as much once you start chiropractic. Studies show that people actually pay less for their long-term overall health care expenses if they are seeing a chiropractor.
You benefit from an Amazing Offer- When you bring in this article, you will receive my entire new patient exam for $27. That’s with x-rays, sEMG….the whole ball of wax. This exam could cost you $150 elsewhere. But, please call right away because I don’t want you to miss out. By the way, further care is very affordable and you’ll be happy to know that I have affordable treatment plans. You see I’m not trying to seduce you to come see me with this low start up fee, then to only make it up with high fees after that. "Further care" is very important to consider when making your choice of doctor. High costs can add up very quickly. By law, this offer excludes Medicare/Medicaid patients.
Great care at a great fee…Please, I hope that there’s no misunderstanding about quality of care just because I have a lower fee. You’ll get great care at a great fee. My business is now and has always been in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
